Award Nomination Procedure
STEP 1: NOMINATE
Submission guidelines and a full list of awards are included below.
STEP 2: AWARD APPLICATION
Deadline: 5:00p.m. on Sunday, October 2 2022
Upon the receipt of your nomination, the Elkford Chamber of Commerce will notify nominees via email. All nominees will be sent to the Nominations Committee for review. Businesses nominated in more than one category will only be considered for the best suited award by the Nominations Committee in that category.
Generic submissions (unknown businesses) or unlicensed businesses will not be considered.
STEP 3: JUDGING & NOTIFICATION
All complete nominations received by the deadline date (Sunday, October 2 2022) will be forwarded to the Nominations Committee comprised of diverse business leaders from the community. Representatives from a nominated business cannot vote for that category in the Nominations Committee. As a group, the committee will narrow the nominations to one award recipient per category. The results are not subject to appeal.
With finalists determined, notification will be sent to all nominees as soon as possible, advising them of their status. Finalists will be asked to provide a copy of their company logo in either a .jpg or .png format. Finalists will be contacted by our marketing developer to film/photograph their business for promotional purposes, as well as for video presented during the awards night. Nominees are also asked to provide photographs of their business and staff to use for promotional purposes.

Submission Guidelines
- You are entitled to nominate any business, including your own. You are encouraged to nominate yourself for an award.
- You do not have to be a resident of Elkford to vote in the 2021 Elkford Business Awards! We encourage visitors, workers and tourists that come to Elkford to nominate your favorite business and organization!
- You do not have to be a Chamber member to be nominated, however, we encourage membership with the Elkford Chamber of Commerce.
- 2021 winners (in any category) must take a year off, and are not eligible for nomination in 2022. Finalists from 2021 are free to re-submit nominations for 2023.
- Finalists may receive only one award. If a business is a finalist for more than one award, the submission will stand for the award where the Nominations Committee deems the business/person is strongest.
- Award applications must be for one business only. Group applications are not eligible.
- The Elkford Chamber of Commerce may request further information based on your submission.
- The Eklford Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to limit the number of selected nominees, and/or withhold an award in any category.

Industrial Business of the Year Award
honors a business that:
- Exemplifies successful innovation in industrial services
- Demonstrates vision in the development of new technologies, products and/or services
- Demonstrates the ability to take risks
- Exhibits a commitment to the community

- Business is 50 or less for employee size
- Demonstrates continual business excellence through positive business growth
- Demonstrates a commitment to the community
- Exemplifies superior customer service
- Embraces an outstanding commitment to quality
- Has contributed to the development of Elkford by participating in meetings, sitting on committees and offering to help the district grow and prosper
